The suspension design is beginning to pick up pace as we’re getting to the point to where we can begin its assembly.

We have finalised the geometry of the front and rear suspension making sure the steering can be connected to the front in the best possible position. The frame supporting the rear suspension and differential is in its final stages of design. The hubs and the wishbones have been designed ready for final stress analysis, and the material for the nearly all the components required have been ordered.

Once the materials arrive, we can begin making the jigs to aid the assembly of the components. The first day of testing is closing in on us fast, but we are well on our way to having a rolling chassis!

A new pedal box has been created for the 2011 car. The designs are being finalised with the materials and parts to be ordered shortly. Work to build the box will start as soon as the materials arrive. The design for the pedal box is shown below:



Work on the steering rack layout has been started to be completed alongside the building of the pedal box.
